Breaking Good News!

A donor has pledged to match $2 for every $1 ChildSafe Colorado raises in order to retire the debt on its facility’s mortgage. The current mortgage balance is $622,000. Retiring this mortgage means ChildSafe will be able to provide almost 1,000 more appointments each year to clients throughout Northern Colorado without having to raise additional revenue. In 2021, ChildSafe served 1,078 clients – the most ever treated in a single year. This is a 12% increase over 2020. In the last ten years, the demand for ChildSafe’s services has more than doubled. ChildSafe Colorado works tirelessly to never turn anyone away who is in need of treatment for childhood trauma that results from abuse or neglect. Approximately 70% of the clients served have been sexually abused as children. ChildSafe Colorado was established in 1986.

ChildSafe’s capital campaign will be called Lynnette’s House after Lynnette Jung-Springberg, the late wife of Dr. Peter D. Springberg. Lynnette was a long-time volunteer therapist for ChildSafe who specialized in working with adolescent girls.
